Racial Equity

The Model Alliance is firmly committed to advancing racial equity in every facet of our work. The fashion industry’s racialized hierarchy is well-documented — from exploitative sweatshops and precarious minimum wage retail jobs, to brands that engage in problematic appropriation in the name of “trend.”

The fight to end systemic racism is all of our fight. That’s why the Model Alliance Leadership Council has gathered the following resources for industry professionals, consumers, and allies to use to support Black businesses and creatives and challenge racism in the fashion industry and beyond.
