When I first heard and read about this organization, I sighed with relief. In recent years, I have always wanted to contribute or start something for this industry. As a model of 6 years, I can see the frustrations that a model has to deal with in terms of payment deals, contracts, physical health, and the rights a model has over his/her own body. I have only been to Asia for a month, but I was already exposed to what a full-time model has to go through to get a job. If there’s anything I could do as a newly graduated student of Sociology, I could do some research and combine it with my experiences. Thank you for this organization as I believe will bring a new light to society.
Although I have been making my living as an actor and a commercial model, I have always viewed the talent in the fashion modeling world as sisters and brothers.
I have traveled to 4 countries, giving over 500 workshops about the industry. What you are doing is really incredible, and would be more than happy to share your sight and information to everyone I meet.
We have slightly different issues in the commercial modeling world, but as in the fashion industry, we too have industry insiders who do not pay or treat the commercial models properly.
I would be more than happy to share some of my modeling blog posts on your site. Just let me know if you are interested, and I will send them to you.
Beautiful story…so real..have you consider in doing a documentary about it. It will reach millions of people.
Kudos to restoring the morality and the humanity to the modeling industry!
I am very happy to see this organization..I am new, within the year, to the modeling industry and I have already run into somethings that I know is not right. Thank you to everyone who is helping to make a difference.
